Charles Quist-Adade, PhD is an award winning educator, author, researcher, and social justice specialist and advocate. He combines academic work with community service. He is the president of the Ghanaian-Canadian Association of BC and doubles as Chief Executive Director of African Stages Association of BC. He also serves as advisor and resource person for several local African community organizations, including Great Lakes Networking Society of BC, Afro-Canadian Positive Network Society of BC, and African Women Empowerment Society. He was awarded the 2004 Black Community Leadership Award by the Windsor and District Black Coalition. In 1998, he was voted the Ghanaian Man of the Year in Windsor, Ontario. In 2015, was awarded a Ghanaian-Canadian Association Leadership Certificate.
